Kate Bosworth unveils second Topshop collection

Hollywood actress Kate Bosworth presents her capsule winter collection for Topshop.

Having successfully kitted out the masses in festival chic for the summer just gone, Hollywood actress Kate Bosworth has teamed up with Topshop once again to create the perfect capsule winter wardrobe.

Described as the perfect mix between masculine and feminine, oversized and fitted, the collection was created by Topshop’s in-house design team with Bosworth as design consultant.

“The collection is tailored and classic. For fall, we wanted to create luxurious pieces with a strong minimalist approach,” says Bosworth. “Slim silhouettes are cloaked in a masculine shape, staying true to the mix of masculine/feminine balance that exists in my personal aesthetic.”
You’ll find oversized collarless coats in shearling, shirting in leather and silk-chiffon, the dream biker pants, the essential cashmere mix grey marl T-shirt, metallic leather skirts and accessories to compliment. Bosworth wanted to ensure that each piece would be considered a staple investment piece to its buyer.

Piet Modrian inspired the monochromatic, metallic and red colour palette as can be seen in the short film accompanying the collection directed by the 30-year-old’s adoring new husband, Michael Polish.

The 46-piece collection lands in stores globally and online today, prices start at £35 and go up to £500.

Tip of the Day

Before you buy, try to gauge how a piece might hold up after a few washings. And don’t shell out for clothes you can’t, or won’t, take care of. If you know you’ll never hand-wash that embellished sweater or fancy bra, walk away.
